Writing a Haiku Poem

  1. What is a haiku?   

Haiku are poems whose origin can be found in Japan.  

  1. How are they different?   

They generally talk about the present and more about the nature.   

Explanation: 

  • Haiku poems are picturized on nature that is why they are also called as seasonal poems.  
  • They contain three lines.  
  • They are composed to paint a picture in the reader’s mind.  
  • Each line has a certain number of syllables.  
  • It consists of unrhymed lines of 5,7, 5 syllable words or 17 syllable words.  
  • This rule helps the kids to understand the syllables very easily in a short way.
