Persuasive Strategies
Aristotle discovered that you could persuade people into action using arguments. The three pillars of persuasion, according to him are:
- Logos (logic): Include facts, data, statistics, figures, research, examples, expert opinions, etc., from reliable sources into your arguments.
- Ethos (credibility): Make your arguments more credible by using your reputation, authority, similarities, and interaction with the readers.
- Pathos (emotion): Appeal to the senses of the readers by including stories, images, metaphors, etc.
