Punctuations: Full Stop, Capital Letter, and Exclamation Mark

Let’s learn about following three punctuations: 

  • Capital letters 
  • Full stop 
  • Exclamation mark   

Capital Letters: – 

  • The blue coloured alphabets are in capital. 
  • All sentences start with capital letters.  

Examples: 

  • I am playing with John. 
  • You are my best friend. 
  • Singing is my hobby. 
  • Some naming words also start with capital letters. 
  • “I” is always written in capital even if it comes in the middle of the sentences.

Full stop: –

  • Let’s see some examples. 
Bird

The bird is beautiful. 

horse

The horse is running. 

 Exclamation mark

Exclamation mark: – (!) 

  • It is one of the punctuation marks which indicates strong emotions like anger, fear, love, etc. 
  • Exclamation mark is also be used to indicate commands. 

Stop!        Wait!        Ouch! 

Examples:

  • Ouch! That hurts! 
  • Don’t do that! 
  • Wait! I am calling you.
