  • Draw bar graphs and solve problems by using bar graphs

Introduction 

A bar graph is a graph that shows complete data with rectangular bars.  

We can represent bar graphs in two parts.​ 

  1. Vertical bar graph​ 
  2. Horizontal bar graph​ 
Vertical bar graph​ and Horizontal bar graph​ 

We can use a table to make a bar graph.​ 

Consider the given table.

First, we have to write a title and then label the graph.

Here, the title is Favorite Activities, and the labels are ‘Activity’ and the ‘Number of Students.’

Then color the boxes for each activity to match the data. 

The length of the bar represents the number of students who like each activity.
